So much improvement

So for those of you who didnt hear, I went out to the barn on tuesday to work Klassy since I had been sick the week before and had so much HW and stuff with school going on I couldnt make it out till then.

So I started working her just like I always do, on the lounge line with side reins and she was the best she has ever been with them, really concentrated on my verbal commends to trot and was good both ways, was stepping under herself and carrying her bodey the proper way and man I am telling you when she does that.... she looks like a little sport pony with her fluffy mane and tail and big stride :) haha she is so darling! It was almost like she was showing off, "look at me mom I look so good!" So then when I got on her she was so great! forward, ettentive to my leg, soft in her mouth. We were doing figure eights, 3 circles in the arena to one end to the other end. But about 20 minutes of our amazing ride she decided she wanted to show me a new trick... she grabbed the bit stuch her head in the air and tried to go all cow like lamla on me, I tried to get her back under me and she was stepping hard on the brakes... "EEERRRRCHH" and so I tapped her forward with the whip and she told me this was her trick.. KABOOOM.... THUD... She bucked me off straight into the arena wall, ohand if you wondering that wall, yeah its not going anywere, very solid. I got back on and acted like she hadnt just catapolted me off likea bronco and i now had lovley dirt all over me and that I had the wind knocked so hard out of me I was still caughing when I got on her, anyways she went on like nothing happend as well. Super good for me, listend to me, forward still, wasnt even cranky. We ended on a great note, two balenced trantions into the walk from trot!

Now if that wasnt enough for you, wait till you hear about my BEST LESSON EVER! lol

So pretty much it was the best lesson ever with Klassy because :

WE CANTERD! Yep, and it was pretty darn good if I do say so myself. She was able to start figureing out how to balance her bodey the right way and I kept having to push her out on the circle cause we wanted to slowly creep in. We had some lead problems to the right but thats her hard side and after about five minutes she was able to not run into but forwardly get off her butt and canter and then keep useing her hind end and is was amazing! She has the smoothed canter. and its fun. LOL

When we went to change directions to canter to the left she knew it was time to canter, you could tell the light bulb was ON and she was in GO mode. haha I was having to half halt her alot to get her to not just run around likea chicken with its head chopped off but actly remind her she needs to be balanced or she will trip and fall on her face, witch almost happend a couple of times. we got the hang out it after a few rounds and even gota good canter to trot trantion, trot to walk after the canter was littler rougher.. she was still cantering in her mind I guess lol

SO two great rides, minus being bucked off, but considering that I have had her a year now and she is almost 4 years old and has been broke almost a year little less, but this is the first time she bucked me off, hey I am not complaining(now that mybodey has stopped hurting) LOL

anyways, I am going to really work hard at our trantons and canter and balancing it better and work on myself till the show and hope it is worth it to go and enter her in 2 gait and 3 gait classes.

Im so proud of her and so happy we are comming along so well.
